I made a hat for my friend's daughter, Emma, for Christmas and here's how it turned out! 1" button eyes with painted pupils (thanks to my husband!), nose a simple triangle, whiskers sewn on
I am a homeschool mom to a kingergartener & toddler, and love all things crafty and creative! Come into my crazy world and see the crochet, origami, baking, cooking, sewing, and other craziness that I come up with & encounter. :)

Slippers are addicting!
I just got a TON of buttons off of a sweet lady on craigslist, so I'm going through them now to see about the perfect buttons to finish these off (thus the safety pins).

Peppermint/Candy Cane Pointy hat (with bells!)
I made a tea cozy that was peppermint striped and wanted to make a hat... So I did! :) I also made my first-ever pom-pom and added a string of (removable) jingle bells to finish it off.
ch5, join with sl st
Rnd 1: 5sc in loop - 5 sts
Rnd 2: ch1, 2sc in each st, sl st - 10 sts
From there, I believe I just dc'd around, slowly increasing each row and changing color as I went.

02/01/2012: It has come to my attention that people are using this pattern to make hats and sell them on Etsy. As a result of that, I will no longer be offering this pattern on my blog. It makes me sad to do it (I can't even express just how sad!) since I know so many people used it to make gifts or hats of their own, but it makes me feel even worse to see people taking advantage of me and not even doing the decent thing and giving me credit! (If you leave a comment on my facebook page, I may still send it to you, but I am otherwise making it unavailable.)
For those who are selling hats made from this pattern: This pattern is protected under Creative Commons and is copyrighted, which means that what you are doing is not only unethical, but illegal. You obviously don't care, but shame on you anyway. It's people like you who are what's wrong with the world.

Amigurumi Sprinkle Donut
Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® - Microspun - Pattern #: 80114AD. Used Red Heart Super Saver Cafe for base and White for frosting. I altered this just slightly by opting to stitch the center of the frosting to the hole in the donut (rather than glue it) and then sew a single stitch at the “highlights” (where the dc and hdc stitches were) to attach it.
I made this for my husband and used a bunch of scrap pieces of yarn for the sprinkles
